There are many types of candida infections. Your lifestyle and your diet can play a huge part in helping with this condition or in increasing the likelihood of recurring problems. Not only can it kill candida infections but also it can keep them away in the first place. You need a little bit of candida yeast in your body but when it gets beyond a certain level, that’s when the problems start.

Diet, lifestyle and predisposition to candida infections can all contribute to frequency and severity of symptoms.

There are several types of candida infections including: Penile yeast infections, Vaginal yeast infections, Oral thrush and Candida Esophagitis

Candida can have very obvious symptoms and it can present in a way that would surprise people as well. Some of the more obvious symptoms include: rashes on the skin, vaginal or penile discharge, white patches in the mouth, or in the throat. Less obvious symptoms could include food cravings, sinus infections, bloating, difficulty swallowing such as with Candida Esophagitis and other symptoms that many don’t typically connect with yeast overgrowth. Candida can be bothersome in many and an extremely dangerous condition to some who are immune suppressed.

Detection of yeast infections can be based on several factors including obvious symptoms, swab or culture and examination of the area. Many people who have this problem have it on a recurring basis know the first signs of the return of the condition and believe that they have to run to the doctor or pharmacist to get their trusty treatment. In truth, lifestyle changes are most likely in order if your trusty treatment only offers a temporary Band Aid solution.

Here are a few of the things you can do to treat yeast infections and keep them away in the first place:

· Eat well. Avoid junk food and yeast causing foods. There are many candida diet plans listed online you can follow.

· Exercise. A healthy body can house a better balance of positive and negative bacteria or flora and sweating also helps rid your body of toxins which candida can thrive on.

· Strive for a healthy pH level in the slightly alkaline state, which encourages healthy flora growth and keeps albicans levels in check.

· Consider eating probiotics and prebiotics or take a synbiotic supplement. A synbiotic is a combination of pre and probiotics. Probiotics contain healthy flora and prebiotics are food for the flora to keep it healthy

Medications for Yeast infections

Many medications exist that are over the counter, by prescription and that are alternative holistic options as well. You can find a lot of information about what medication might be right for you and for many, alternative health or natural healing techniques prove far more effective. While a prescribed medication can help you with a one off candida infection, if you have recurring problems, you should look at your overall health and wellness. Recurring yeast infection sufferers may want to consider trying a thirty day candida diet and increasing exercise levels to see if there is a difference.
