As guys we tend to go through a few typical phases in our way of thinking about sex. When we are young we are just thrilled and surprised to acquire our first sexual experiences. Then you gradually become concerned with actually being good at it. We start thinking about certain things we must do or steps we have to take in each sexual act in order to please a girl. Hopefully we have all progressed beyond thinking about sex as a results driven process. It is sex after all, shouldn't two people just be able to enjoy each other in the moment without any extra thought?
Of course a man should have knowledge and know how when it comes to sex (see other articles for this) but often the proper mindset that would allow our partners and us derive the most pleasure from sex escapes us!
First, anticipation is half the fun. I know most guys don't think so, but women do. The sex is much hotter when physical gratification is delayed to the overwhelming breaking point. Building sexual tension begins the moment you two meet, and no I am not even talking about foreplay yet.
Speaking of foreplay, it is no secret that women often enjoy foreplay and oral sex more than intercourse. As men we need to get over the notion that all sex is about is intercourse because it doesn't. Enjoy sex and enjoy a women completely, every kiss, caress, and embrace. People do not thrust mindlessly for hours and hours like in porn flicks. When you hear talk about "making love all night" most of that time is not spent on intercourse. Enjoy the whole act of sex and not just getting your rocks off. This will insure she enjoys it as much as you are and satisfying orgasms will fallow naturally for both of you.
This mindset will allow you to make her feel more secure about herself and her body; she must feel comfortable and desirable when you are looking at her naked. Thanks to the consumer/ image obsession of popular culture most women, no matter how hot feel insecure in one way or another about their body or looks. Be sincere and let her know how hot she is in bed.
When you are both comfortable and hot for each other, you can let go of all your preconceptions and enjoy insanely hot spontaneous sex. Its no longer a process or goal oriented. You take her with just the right amount of dominance and spontaneity. Women want you to take the lead in bed and how you and a particular girl are together will dictate how you make love to each other, not a rigid process.
Ok, to recap: anticipation is half the fun, don't be goal or process oriented, care about her pleasure, know what your doing but, enjoy the entire act of sex, lead her in bed, make her feel secure with herself and you, and be spontaneous. If you keep these key concepts in mind you will have the kind of mindset that will allow you to become a great lover. Now you need a basis of knowledge you have already taken the first step to build.
