Keeping teeth clean is a part of our daily cleanliness and still we do not pay much heed to it. There are various measures that are recommended by the dentist to keep our teeth healthy and strong. Out of these reasons, one of the most important one is the toothbrush. Dentists say that poor toothbrush is one of the reasons of tooth decay and bleeding gums. Everybody uses the toothbrush daily but it is not the only criteria for keeping the teeth well. Nobody cares to spend time to check its condition.

Do you know that there are some viruses and bacteria that can survive on your toothbrush for more than a week? These are influenza, streptococcus, and other viruses, which lead to certain gum diseases. These germs can cause some of the most common gums and teeth problems. Various researches and advanced technology has come up with the power toothbrush, which is different from the traditional toothbrush. It has some unmatched qualities that make it special for your teeth care.

The power toothbrush is an electric driven machine that gives several thousand strokes within a minute. So why stress your hands and fingers when one can use and enjoy the facility of thousand strokes in one go. Power toothbrushes are designed under the precision of world class dentists and dental researchers.

These brushes have slim, angled neck so that it can reach hard to brush zones of mouth. It is necessary for complete cleaning of the mouth, which is not possible with ordinary toothbrushes. The bristles are extra soft and these save the teeth from unnecessary hard strokes. As the brushes are electrically driven, so they have soft bristles, which are essential to save the teeth from any wear and tear.

There is a choice of brushing speed available to the user, which can be chosen from low to high speed. One can try for high speed for maximum brushing power and low for gentle strokes on the teeth, tongue, and gums. These brushes are automatic and usually provide two minutes brushing time.

Another feature of this brush is that there is a beeper in the brush that beeps in every thirty seconds that symbolizes time allotted to each quadrant of the mouth. Within two minutes you can experience a sparkling clean mouth and other mouthparts.

It has been noticed that excess of toothpaste invites germs on your toothbrush but with power toothbrush, one can clean leftover toothpaste easily and protect the brush from catching infection.

Power brushes come with a stand and a glass covered container. The stand keeps the brush in an upright position so that it can be kept in proper place. The glass container protects the brush from catching infection and also protects the brush from insects and their excreta.

There are some tips that must be taken care of while using your power toothbrush:

Never share your toothbrush with anybody. Keep in mind that it is only your property and no one is allowed to use it

Clean your toothbrush properly after every use. Dry it and then put it in an upside position

If you are keeping it in an open container then make sure that it should not touch other brushes in the same container. If it gets in contact of other brushes, then there are chances of catching infection

It is advisable to change your brush at every three or four months or when your brush bristles get worn out. Worn bristles are inefficient in cleaning bacteria and germs from your teeth

Hard bristles can harm your gums and teeth so use a soft bristle brush. It will protect your gums and teeth from any damage
