There are a few key points to remember when working out to lose weight. First of all, there is no such thing as spot reducing. What does that mean? That means that working out your butt does not mean you are going to lose fat in your butt. When you work out your butt, you are building muscle in your butt, so you can shape your butt by building muscle in that area, but you are not losing fat in your butt.

Men s and women s bodies are different. When women lose weight, the last place they lose it is in their rear end. When men lose weight, the last place they lose it is around their waist.

Don t weigh yourself. Pounds don t mean a thing. Muscle weighs much more than fat, so when you work out and you gain muscle mass, while you lose fat, so weight is very deceptive. What is a better indicator, how you look in the mirror, and also measurements. If you work out you may gain muscle mass, but you lose 3 inches off your waist and butt. You may weigh the same, you are doing your job. So, don t weigh yourself!

Muscle is much more efficient at using fat stores. So, when you gain muscle mass, your body burns calories and fat more efficiently. You start raising your metabolism.

Use your brain! When you are using your brain, you burn a lot of calories. So, exercise your brain, by reading, thinking, and problem solving, and also by being creative.

Graze. Don t be a hoarder, almost everyone is. Graze like cattle. Eat small portions, and eat often. Snack on vegetables. And I don t mean with veggie dip, eat them plain. You don t like them plain; try buying organic, it s an incredible difference. Everything tastes so much better; vegetables have a certain sweetness to them. You should buy organic anyways. Do you really want to consume the chemicals they use to grow and process everything?

Your body is made to process natural foods. What does that mean? That means things that are grown in nature. Fruit, vegetables, and yes animals. Your body processes these foods easily and naturally. Processed foods, preserved foods, do not digest in your system as well. Eat as fresh as possible; your body is equipped for it.

Don t use salt. You get enough sodium naturally from the foods you consume. The more salt you intake; the more water your body holds. If you add a lot of salt, you will notice your body will get bloated, because of the additional water your body holds to flush out the extra salt in your system.

Listen to your body. What does this mean? It means, pay attention to how your body reacts to everything. For example; do you get an upset stomach after you consume dairy? That means your lactose intolerant. Your body lacks lactase, an enzyme which breaks down lactose. Your body is an incredible machine that recognizes anything foreign. It will try to rid your body of something foreign as quickly as possible. Do you get tired after eating certain types of food? Well, then, don t eat it. So, pay strict attention to how your body reacts after you do something to it, like after you eat certain types of meals.

Drink a lot of water. You don t like the taste of water? Try adding a wedge of lemon or lime. Do not drink soda, even if it s diet. Your body needs a lot of water to flush out your system. You can t stop drinking soda? It will take you awhile to wean yourself off of it, but after several days you will be able to drink water and not soda. I know it s hard, but just do it! Why is it so difficult? Because even though diet sodas have no calories, it is sweet, so it tricks your body to crave more things. Have you ever noticed when you eat something sweet, you crave more of it? It s like a drug. So how do you solve this problem? You have to stop eating anything sweet, including diet sodas. It takes several days but you will stop craving sweets after your body adjusts. But you MUST remember, you will fall off the wagon as soon as you eat something sweet again, it s like a drug. It s okay to eat fruit. You won t have the intense cravings like you will when you eat sweets like dessert or candy.
Drink lots of water. It will help stave off hunger pains.

Do not eat late! This is a sure way to gain weight. Most people, who eat late, or after a night of drinking, tend to lie down or sleep right after eating. BAD! Your body does not digest the food very well when you are lying down. Your body also stores these calories; yes in your ass!

Also, do you notice that you have severe hunger pains early in the morning after you have eaten late? That s a double whammy. You eat late and then you have to eat very early. Listen to your body!

You can t fight the severe hunger pains after a night of drinking? Drink water. Hunger pains are sometimes generated by your body needing water. Remember, alcohol is a diuretic. It gets rid of water in your body.

Do not starve yourself. Do not go long periods without eating. Why? Your body thinks you are depriving it from food. The next time you eat your body stores more as fat. Your body is saying, oh you re going to starve me, okay; I m going to store some away the next time you feed me. Hence, eat small portions, eat more often.

Also, what s the most important thing about working out: Consistency. It s better to work out 30 minutes a day than 2 hours once a week.

In Conclusion, eat right, drink lots of water and stay consistent!
