Movies have always fascinated people the world over. The classic movies of the 50s and the 60s have enthralled the viewers with their magnificent locations, great stories and sizzling star casts. These movies have never gone out of our minds. Movies like 'Gone with the wind', 'Sound of music', 'My fair lady' and 'Roman Holiday' have their own unique charm, which has captured the hearts of millions of viewers. Even epic movies of that era with gigantic sets and colorful costumes had created a permanent place in the hearts and minds of million moviegoers.

Watching these all time great movies is a great way to celebrate holidays or any special occasion. Let us now look at some of the greatest movies of all times which look great on DVDs.

One such great movie is the epic movie 'Ten Commandments' based on the biblical story of Moses. This movie has been a great classic. The character of Moses was portrayed by Charton Heston, and the character became as immortal as the film itself.

Another all time great classic has been 'The Sound of Music' which tells the story of seven motherless children. Then comes the little governess who brings about a basic transformation in their lives but also in the life of their father, Georg VonTrapp. The film was immediately noted for its marvelous music and it soon became a trendsetter for the musicals which flooded the market in no time.

A classic movie called 'My Fair Lady' is an all time favorite of most viewers. It is about an uneducated woman who sells flowers. The main character Eliza Doolittle is played by beautiful Audrey Hepburn, and Professor Henry Higgins is played by Rex Harrison. Here Audrey Hepburn immortalized the role of a clumsy flower girl with thick cockney accent.

Another very nice, heart warming romantic movie is the classic 'Roman Holiday'. It will be a treat to watch it in a DVD. Audrey Hepburn plays Princess Anne who is weary of the strict protocols and anxious to have some fun before she is crowned with the responsibilities of the affairs of the state. Anne escapes her royal retainers in Rome and scampers incognito through the city. She happens to meet American journalist Joe Bradley played by Gregory Peck, who at once recognizes her as a source of hot news and offers to give her a guided tour of Rome. Both characters fall in love eventually.
