If you are considering plastic surgery and you try to search for the best plastic surgeons and also you try to get the best possible prices for plastic surgery. You will usually get two options one is to get the surgery done in your area where you live and the other way is to combine vacation and surgery and go abroad for surgery in a country like India.

If you compare the prices then yes going abroad is definitely very economical. The cost is definitely low and with a good currency conversion rate you should be able to get the surgery done in almost half the price. Beware before you take the plunge there are several factors that you need to consider before you make that decision of going abroad. It is after a surgery which will change you face, nose, breasts or lips and that alone should cause you to stop and rethink.

The first and foremost thing to ask the hospital or the surgical center abroad is that who will perform the surgery and what qualifications does the performing surgeon have? In most countries abroad you will find surgeons with less than the qualifications desired for doing a perfect plastic surgery. That said what it means for you is that even if going abroad try to go for a reputed surgical center abroad. The costs may be a little bit higher but you will get the good quality and certified surgeons there.

Next comes the facilities and that is an absolute must. This again goes back to the point that you need to find the best hospital aboard. You will find that most hospitals lack facilities or even if they have facilities they are ill equipped to handle complex surgical procedures or even handle emergencies. Post operative care is a must for most of the surgical procedures.

Most hospitals will discharge after about a day or two. This means that you will have to either fly back or you will have to find a hotel or residential facility nearby for routine check up on a regular basis for at least a few weeks. So make sure that the surgical facility abroad provides with details as to how they are going to handle the post operative care for you. A good hospital will have attached facilities and hotels where you will get nice clean and hygienic conditions.

Also consider the long flight back home as a factor if you are considering surgery abroad.
