Selecting the right hair color for you can be more difficult than it initially sounds. The shade that is on the outside of the hair color box is not necessarily what it will look like after you put it on your head, leave it on for 20 minutes and then shampoo it off.
This is because the base color of your hair makes a huge difference. For some people, if they were to try to dye their hair an ash blonde color, it would turn their hair green. Since hardly anybody wants green to be their primary hair color, it is probably best to get your hair dyed at a salon. Unless you have done it a million times and only use the same hair color each time you do it, there is just too much to chance.
